MPix review

It is hard to believe my little girl is already seven months old!  My wife was just updating the baby book the other day and it was surreal to look back on her as a newborn.  She looks so much older now.  I actually call her a miniature five old.  Thankfully, we have a great photographer (see below) who has an unbelievable eye.  She has captured the true beauty of our little one.  However, Wal-Mart photo lab tried to sabotage that.

We were turned onto a website who can create gorgeous prints for a great price.  It is www.mpix.com.  When we received the pictures in the mail everything looked fantastic.  The prints were delivered quickly and noticeably high in quality.  At the time we did not put much thought into it at all.

And then the other day…when we were looking back at her pictures, the Wal-Mart print of the same picture was side-by-side with one from MPix.  It was like comparing stick figure drawings to a Michaelangelo.  The Mpix photo did not obscure or hide a single detail.

Oddly enough, the price is not outrageous.  It is much higher, in fact double, of many of the photo labs in department stores.  However when comparing the two photos, I would have paid much more for the Mpix one.  It was really that good.

Naturally, I am not suggesting printing every picture you get through them.  That would be a little bit of an overkill.  However, if you have a photo you want to place in an album, get to www.mpix.com and spend the extra change.  I promise that you will not be sorry.

**I can’t place one of my pics on here because of copyright rules, but you can see one at my personal site www.inspiretomorrow.com.
