I found one that I really wanted, unfortunately, they only accept kids who are turning 4 by Sept. 1. My daughter will be three by end of Jan. Oh well, I guess I have to find another school. A lot of my mom friends are freaking out over finding the "perfect" school for their child. Some are looking for practically prep schools, thinking that they will give their kids an "edge". For a child to be ready for preschool they should just have a interest in going and be able to follow simple directions. Preschool is more about socialization rather than learning concepts. Preschoolers learn about taking turns, following a schedule, listening to someone besides their parents, and being away from home for the first time.
